JT launches two Winston Compact Menthol Purple products and rejuvenates Winston Compact Blue line

To be rolled out nationwide in early November 2018

Japan Tobacco Inc.(JT)(TSE:2914) announces today the nationwide launch of two new products from Winston, the second largest cigarette brand(*) in the world by sales volume, in early November 2018. The two new products are "Winston Compact Menthol Purple 5 Box" and "Winston Compact Menthol Purple One Box".
At the same time, we will also rejuvenate the Compact Blue line by introducing a 19-cigarette pack with a new design.

The features of the new Winston Compact Menthol Purple line are:

  • New smoking experience: These products offer refreshing menthol taste and delicate aroma with a hint of sweetness without using flavor capsule technology
  • Affordable price: New pack format comes with 19 cigarettes for JPY 410
  • Bold design: The package has a simple and modern design; the Winston logo, an icon of quality and taste satisfaction, is set against a dynamic purple background – the visual expression of the taste of the new Winston Compact Menthol Purple line

Rejuvenation of the Winston Compact Blue line:

Renewed "Winston Compact Blue 6 Box", "Winston Compact Blue 3 Box" and "Winston Compact Blue One Box" will come in a new simple and modern design with 19-cigarette packs. These products can be enjoyed for JPY 410. The same smooth satisfying taste of the Compact Blue line will remain unchanged.
