Tokyo, March 6, 2017 --- Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) (TSE: 2914) has announced the nationwide launch of fifteen limited edition packages from Mevius in mid May 2017 in selected retail stores in a limited quantity: soft packages, boxes, and 100's boxes of "Mevius," "Mevius Lights," "Mevius Super Lights," "Mevius Extra Lights," and "Mevius One". The Mevius brand's popularity has been driving its No. 1 sales share in Japan for over 30 years(*1).
JT changed the name of its No.1 brand Mild Seven to Mevius, and since then we have strived to improve the products and services. While the flavor and aroma of the products remain unchanged, the limited edition packages have been designed to express the new communication theme: "Let's look up to the sky!" We have linked the current pack colors with the designs that portray the changing face of the sky, from night sky to morning sky.
By launching these limited-edition Mevius products, JT is continuously aiming to develop products and services that meet the diverse needs of consumers and provide consumers with even greater satisfaction.
